The international communication and marketing agency Sopexa, specializing in the food sector, called upon the services of Prospek to develop a pan-Canadian interactive marketing strategy for one of its clients: Avocados from Mexico. The distributor wished to develop awareness in Canada of avocados coming from Mexico, the world’s leading producer of the fruit.
Our two agencies began to work closely together to develop a national communications strategy combining event management, public and media relations, a digital strategy, community management and online advertising. The Sopexa team oversees the overall brand communication by managing media and public relations as well as events.
Prospek's role was to launch, create and manage the digital platforms. All of the agency's departments worked together to conduct an analysis, develop a relevant strategy and create a graphic identity for the brand in Canada. We leveraged our skills as digital strategists and our strengths in graphic design to launch the Canadian website for the brand, reach out to the community through social media and engage Internet users.
The campaign was a real success: within in three months the Facebook page had 10,000 fans in Canada. The strategy promoted the link between avocados and Mexico. We always found a way to reach the public, both Francophone and Anglophone, by focusing on areas of interest and the gourmet features of this delicious product.
