We managed the digital platforms for Avocados from Mexico as part of our collaboration with the international communication and marketing agency Sopexa, which specializes in the food sector. Mexico is the world's leading producer of avocados.
In order to create a fun moment for the brand image and get closer to the Canadian public, Sopexa had the idea of an Avocatour in Quebec and Ontario to distribute free avocado snacks.
Prospek created the graphic identity and designed all the promotional materials: the dedicated web page, banners, social media images, press release layout, recipe brochure and signage as well as the design of the mobile snack cart. All of it had a colourful, joyous, summery tone embodied in the brand character "Avoman" with his "Avocart". We also produced a launch video to promote the event as part of the Just For Laughs Festival.
We took a strategic thinking approach to our job of gaining brand awarness on social media and engaging the community and winning followers. It seemed an obvious opportunity to launch a new Instagram account. A contest was created to establish a link between the event and the social platform using the dedicated hashtag #avocatour. A fun campaign about greed and sharing were at the heart of the exchanges.
Within two months, more than 5,000 new fans joined the Facebook page, the launch video was viewed more than 80,000 times and Instagram gave us a great deal of visibility with more than 180,000 impressions. It was a big success that underscored the relevance of our strategic plan.
