The Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT) confided a very important mandate to our team: developing a free application for iOS and Android that would be accessible to all. This app would inform users of a train's location in real time on a navigatable map. It would also share schedules and service updates at all times, and enable users to create favourite departure stations and get alerts. A challenge that would stimulate our geeks and designers in equal measure.
At Prospek, we love making things that look great and work well. We thus aimed for a minimalist aesthetic, with the technical aspects hidden behind a functional design with simple colours and icons that make navigating a breeze. The perfect opportunity to apply the virtual in service of the real. Going beyond the mandate, the app aspired to improve how Montrealers behave across the island and beyond.
The new AMT mobile app assists with 17.5 million trips every year, improving how Quebecers travel by train across the metropolitan region. It helps users save time and better manage their time using the technology of our time. And when there's heavy snow, users are in the know.
